Will I receive a Diploma?
Bethlehem AVTS courses are non-credit only. Students who successfully complete courses receive a Certificate of Completion which shows the total course contact hours in CEU's (Continuing Education Units). While CEU's are not equivalent to college credits (they do not transfer to other schools), they are often used to document required Continuing Education for persons in various professions/occupations.
ALL our courses are live, instructor-led training classes held here at our Bethlehem Township campus. We do partner with Ed2Go to offer select topics from their course listings that we believe may be of value to the residents in our region. Entrance requirements vary from course to course. All Health Care courses require students to take a Reading Comprehension exam. Most Construction and Mechanical courses require a Math exam. All exam passing scores are set at 80%. Students who do not attain the 80% passing score will be provided with online learning accounts through KeyTrain.com (scores of 60-79%) or will be referred to other local agencies which offer Adult LIteracy classes (scores below 60%). Certain programs such as Nurse Aide, Esthetician, Nail Technician, PA Automotive licensing, etc. will require additional entrance criteria as established by the state department which oversees those programs.
